NO FCRA USE. This privately operated site has no connection to a government body. Neither the site nor its advertising partners offers a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other Fair Credit Reporting Act decisions. Its purpose is to identify Storey County, Nevada criminal-record resources. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.
1. What This Website Is
This is a private reference site with no government affiliation. It does not store official records, perform official background checks, retrieve files, or submit documents for a user.
We identify the offices that maintain Storey County records, including the Sheriff, the two local criminal courts, Nevada State Police RCCD, and the Nevada Public Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect to outside tools that may assist lawful research.
2. Rules for Using This Site
Use is conditioned on the following restrictions:
- Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
- Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
- Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
- Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
- Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
- Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it
3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination
No one may use information found here or through a linked tool to stalk, threaten, harass, intimidate, or discriminate. Nevada limits the misuse of Nevada Public Sex Offender Registry data under NRS Chapter 179D, and unlawful conduct may carry criminal penalties. Registry information supports public-safety awareness, not vigilantism.
4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create background checks, credit reports, or other consumer reports. Our advertising partners are not presented as providers for applicant, rental, insurance, or credit decisions. Data from the site or a linked tool may not be used to:
- Decide whether to hire or fire someone
- Screen potential renters or housing applicants
- Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
- Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
- Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules
A check for an FCRA-regulated purpose must come through Nevada State Police RCCD where authorized or through an FCRA-compliant provider.
5. No Legal Advice
Nothing here is legal advice. General Storey County record procedures cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, or sealing law affects one person. Ask a Nevada-licensed attorney for advice on a specific matter.
6. No Warranties
All material is supplied "as is," without a promise that:
- The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
- The site will stay up and running without interruptions
- Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
- Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate
Criminal records change as charges are filed, amended, dismissed, or sealed. Delays and gaps can occur. No content here is an official statement by the Storey County Sheriff, a court, or a Nevada agency.
7. Third-Party Services and Links
Links lead to government offices, court systems, Nevada agencies, legal-aid groups, and outside search services. Those destinations are independently operated. We do not control their content, privacy practices, prices, or availability, and users should read the destination's terms.
8. Intellectual Property
Storey County Criminal History or its content partners owns the text, graphics, logos, and code presented here. Written permission is required before copying, modifying, distributing, or building on that material.
9. Limits on Our Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for loss arising from use of the website, its content, or any linked service.
10. Indemnification
A user agrees to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, or actions arising from that user's conduct or breach of these terms, including related legal costs.
11. Governing Law
Nevada law governs these terms. Any dispute tied to use of the site must be brought in a Nevada court. Government-record access itself is governed separately by the Nevada Public Records Law and criminal-history dissemination provisions in NRS Chapter 179A.
12. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be revised. A revision takes effect when the new text is posted here.
13. Cutting Off Access
Access may be restricted or ended at any time, with or without advance notice.
14. Severability
If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. The affected term will be limited only as far as needed to make it enforceable.
15. Questions
Questions about these conditions can be directed through the Contact page.
